Jim Fanning Friday 2025: Tomorrow Never (Bow) Ties

Friday 21st February 2025 marked the fifth annual #JimFanningFriday, where Bond fans across the world came together to don some natty neckwear in celebration of a niche - but beloved - character from the franchise and raise money for charity.

Thank you to everyone who took part in Jim Fanning Friday 2025!

Five years down the line, I’m still finding it hard to fathom why #JimFanningFriday became a thing. The first events happened in the midst of the Covid pandemic, when we were eager to have reasons to come together - albeit virtually. But I never cease to be amazed by how it’s continued to grow in popularity.

If you have no idea what this is all about, this is the best place to start here: https://www.licencetoqueer.com/blog/jimfanningfriday

And you can relive the previous events here:

2021: Bow Tie To Die For

2022: Bow Tie Another Day

2023: Bow Ties Are Forever

2024: Live and Let’s Bow Tie

This year, we once again had logos courtesy of the awesome Reuben Wakeman (aka Toys of Bond).

All people needed to do to take part was take a picture of themself (pets are also welcome to participate) and post it on Instagram, BlueSky or X, tagging the Licence to Queer account and using the hashtag #JimFanningFriday.

We reposted every entry from our social media accounts. We also donated £1 of our own money for everyone who took part. The money will go to our chosen charity for 2025, Prostate Cancer UK. You can find out why we’ve chosen that charity here: https://www.licencetoqueer.com/blog/the-other-fellas
