Watching a double bill of Casino Royale and A View To A Kill with married couple Han (who had never seen a Bond film) and Maz (who loved Bond as a child but was bullied into not liking it at school) was like seeing both films for the first time all over again. Drinks guide

Our first drink stop is a fitting one: a Mount Gay and soda, the first beverage of Craig’s Bond.

As Bond gives his famously exacting drink order at the card table we pause for our own Vesper Martinis (exactly as in the film but with Sacred Amber vermouth as Kina Lillet no longer exists).

An unscheduled stop to gather ourselves after the incredibly potent and thought-provoking torture sequence before we pop the Prosecco for our visit to Venice…

After finishing the film, we examine it from a queer perspective over a bottle of Bollinger.

And then, after dinner, we watch A View To A Kill, which is a heady cocktail in itself!
