Filling a flute two thirds of the way with Champagne (“Mrs Carver will have a glass of Mr Carver’s Champagne”)
Top up with Tequila Blanco (“Mrs Carver will have a shot of tequila, straight up”)
Only if you need to sweeten the harsh reality that you sealed the death warrant of someone you loved add a dash of agave syrup. Otherwise leave it dry and bitter.

This is essentially a French 75 with tequila/lime instead of gin/lemon and it’s just as brilliant. Swap ingredients as you need to (e.g. Prosecco or Cava for Champagne, Tequila Resposado for Blanco, etc).
