Recover from a traumatic auction experience with:

1 measure gin
6 basil leaves
1/4 measure green Chartreuse
1/4 measure lemon juice
A dash of sugar syrup

Shake with ice for a minute. Double strain (or else you'll end up with basil bits).

Reshake cocktail with egg white - vigorously.

Strain, pour and float a basil leaf on top.
